Jamie is a qualified restorer and craftsman,
with over 25 years experience, working to a high
standard with an informed and sympathetic approach. He
specialises in fine quality period antique furniture
but has expertise with many items requiring the skills
of master craftsman, including various valued
decorative objects, architectural items, metalware,
and longcase clocks.
Jamie can assist with structural and cosmetic repairs
to fine period furniture, traditional upholstery and
seating, traditional polishing, desk leathers,
fabric and paper lining, glazing, mirror re-silvering,
turning, carving, gilding, furniture fittings and
metalwork, painted furniture, and fabrication of
various items such as missing parts, artifact stands,
bases, etc.
Jamie has worked on fine furniture by notable makers,
and on unusual and seriously damaged pieces which
challenge a restorers abilities, but is equally happy
to assist with common items of purely functional or
sentimental value.
